Hi all,

I've been looking for a large 6 berth motorhome with a u shaped lounge for a few months now.

So today, I bought a 2004 Hymer b564............... which is a bit strange as its an A class and only a 4 berth.

I took it for a drive and it was great. its got habitation aircon and a gas low system and some sort of external shower thing (not sure but there was a shower hose in the sink with a locking system) its got 2 leisure batteries and the dealer is throwing in a 120v solar panels sweeten the deal. The thing is, I wasn't looking to buy for another 5 months but figured it wouldn't be there by then!!

My better half is happy with the rear bathroom bit and the layout in general so all good.

Are there any horror stories with the 564?

I don't have any pictures at the moment but its exactly the same as this one but with a more neutral colour scheme on the upholstery. This one is a 2007 but i can't see any difference!

I presume your 6 berth U shaped lounge layout was just a fancy then? Sounds like you have bought yourself a nice van, good luck

I talked one of my building team into a Motor Home and I found this fabulous Hymer for him.

He's never been camping in a tent or Caravan and now two months on he's beginning to realise just how fortunate he was in his purchase.

The smile is still on his face today, which is proof enough that it is not the amount that gets spent but the enjoyment one gets out of the purchase.

On and off for many years.
Ours is away at present (long story which I will relate when she gets home) but I feel bereft with her not being outside. No price on the smile even when you just go and clean her :) Sad......

I'm sure you have a brilliant van. Our second was a "classic" Hymer and they're great machines.

Generally you regret the things you don't do.

Congratulations think you've bought the same van as @cliffandger and they love theirs. (I covet their bathroom).
Congratulations. We do indeed Love ours - don't be scared of the big table - you get used to it and it provides loads of extra countertop space! (y)
