Hi, I've just had a Gaslow system fitted.
I have the adaptors for France, Italy and Spain, does anyone know if either of these will work in Portugal? and if not what does the Portuguese one look like and where can I buy one?

same as france, some are changing to the euro connector but few and far between,+ most garages will lend you one if you have not right one,(y)(y)

The Portuguese one is the large circle/dish connector. When you buy them off e bay you get all three., a small cigar shaped one(Spain) a small dish/circle type with groves on the outside which the gass nozzle screws onto (Germany ) and the large dish circle type which the gas nozzle clips into when you pull the trigger. I am in Portugal at the moment and damaged the O ring on the one I needed yesterday. I went into the garage and the one they offered to lend me would not fit into my bayonet connection so be aware that this may be a problem. On a point regarding being allowed to fill tanks we have not had any problem throughout Europe in fact the owner of the garage where I damaged the O ring came out with a new O ring changed it and then filled the tank for me, service with a smile.

Hi.
Two in Portugal to avoid... "Mini Preco". Santa Comba Dao (Viseu). Fuel outlet only, was nearly escorted off the forecourt there. and "BP Garage". Mortaqua, Next town along from Santa/c/Dao.Both inland from Coimbra . I blagged my way to fill there,as i had already started and pointed to the underslung tank, the lady apologised about the pump being broken'ish and said she was waiting for a replacement, but being as BP are taking GPL pumps out,it could be a long wait. The adapter i use is the,"Spanish Dish",but as a post above, they are trying to harmonise the fitting across the EU. so carrying three different adapters makes sense at the moment.
