Hi

Can anybody recommend a beach side campsite in Cornwall that is likely to be open next week?

My wife really fancy's somewhere we can park up and see the sea.

Ayr Holiday Park at St Ives has great sea views - it's a 10 minute walk to the beach & town - and the best loos/showers ever

Treloan Farm at Portscatho, great position and close to pubs and shops. Open all year round. Lots of walking and the famous Hidden Hut for lunches about 20 minutes walk away, open every day until 1 November - so get there quick!

Agree it has a great situation and a very friendly welcome....

Yes, much as I like the place the facilities are a bit basic! We used the shower in the MH when we were there in April.

I was going to recommend Gwithian but it doesn't have sea views. Lovely site with an easy walk to the beach

I see you've booked now, but for future reference, here are my thoughts. We live near Truro.
Treloan is nice and well situated for Portscatho but pitches are almost all grass and if you want to visit other parts of Cornwall, it can be a pain getting off the Roseland peninsula. Ayr Park is stunning and the views are unmatched, and it is also handy for St Ives but relatively expensive. Tintagel (Trewethet farm) is also excellent and great coastal walks up to Boscastle or down to Tintagel, but there is no beach access from the site. If you want somewhere really remote, Treverven, a mile or two up the coast from Porthcurno and a few hundred yards off the coast path is a good site.
