Michelin Agilis Camping tyres (1 Viewer)

I have just purchased from www.blackcircles.com 2 x 225/75 r 16 Agilis Camping tyres for £122.32 each, which includes vat, delivery & fitting.

Pretty good price I thought.

I bought 4 of these R15s from them before Easter. They feel good on the road, just waiting for some wet grass to try them on.

I've also purchased some Michelin Cross Climate tyres (the ones advertised on TV recently) - not sure if it isn't imagination but they seem excellent on the car - I seem to stop a lot faster than before.

Is it me ?. Have M/Agilis on Renault Masterpiece PVC,have traction assist as on first R.M.
Question 1. " Are they made of Banana Skins?
They are not long for this vehicle! Wet grass ? no, flat ground with just a trace of soil on top of hard core. Before you ask,i have done site work for years.
Question 2. Any one on Hankooks ?

Continental Fourseasons 2 are great for grip in mud etc.

I agree the old camping tyre was much better for grip and lasted a lot lot longer.

Im planning to switch to conti's next time.

Hi.
Thanks for the replies,so,is it Conti's i should be looking at? All i want is the comfort of knowing that if the grass/whatever is only dampish,i am going to be able to drive off. Tyres are important,don't get me wrong,but as long as are legal,grip, and stay inflated,i don't mind whoes name is on the side. Wish i could remember the make of tyre on the first Reault M',they walked the unit off of a rain sodden ("din") pitch to every ones amazement,including mine.

I'm happy with the Michelin Agilis camping tyres that were fitted on my MH a couple of years ago. If wet grass/sand etc worries you buy some of those yellow plastic traction mats for added peace of mind.

Not worry,i have the standard "Bread Trays" as back up,what this is about is to get a Better traction tyre,you will be stuck at some point,however good the tyres are,sods law. There has to be a better tyre out there,members are using all makes of tyres on here,just want a rough guide as to which tyre is thought to be best.

I did have Hankooks all round until the rear two developed bulges on the inside walls during my trip through France. I don't find them any better or worse than any other tyre I've used.

Just an update on the original thread. My 'new' tyres have been delivered to my chosen garage ready for fitting on Monday, earliest free day to get there. So I rang the garage to confirm the tyres had been recieved & confirm correct size & the DOT date stamp on each tyre. I was horrified to learn that one of the tyres was 0115 (1st week of January 2015) and the second tyre was 4412. We are now in week 41 of 2015. Yes it was nearly 3 years old !!
A phone call to Black circle explaining the reasons why new tyres is critical on a motorhome & demanding 2 NEW tyres, under 6 months old they have eventually found me two with a date stamp of 1715.

Persistence paid off. Eventually after 5 pairs of tyres being delivered & returned Black Circle decided to change their supplier and came up trumps with a pair of tyres with a manufactured date of 2915.
