No planning we haven't booked a campsite in years. We use ACSI card which is brilliant saves us on average £2 to £3 a night over 90 nights a year. We took the D8 coast road from Rijeka to Dubrovnik now heading back North loads and loads of campsites average price £10 to £12 with ehu and free wifi. Even got a free bottle of red wine made by the owner tonight which I'm half way through. Got it because he's a biker as well.

We are on our way home from Croatia, having spent 2-3 weeks touring around. Went as far as Dubrovnik, back up to Split and Trogir then across to Plitvika Lakes. Absolutely amazing country, the views are breathtaking, plenty of sites to stay, weather glorious and the people so lovely.
Highly recommend and will visit again, also great value too.

Can only emphasise what @Forestboy Says great country, friendly honest people. "Oh, don't spoil your day, pay tomorrow" we have had a few times. They don't use please or thank you much so sound a bit abrupt but the Croatians are a lovely people, at least all we have met so far. Currently in Montenegro equally as nice perhaps even more spectacular scenery. Heading north tomorrow to try a bit of Bosnia which I expect will be the same then a slow journey back up doing the things we missed on the way down. No planning necessary in Croatia, sites every few miles. Don't think about it just do it. Will probably do Greece overland next year, we have enjoyed this time so much.

Great pics looks like a great place to go. Is it tag axle friendly as in are the roads good and can the campsites take bigger units. Would it be good as a winter visit place to go.

Our friends have a Toad as well as tag axle! Couple of entrances a bit "tight" but hasn't stopped us yet.
I will try and load some pictures

We took our bikes to the island today @Judgemental enjoyed it very much, despite taking a wrong turn up a very steep path and my e-bike careering into a stationary scooter (user error).

We're moving on tomorrow for an overnight stop near Venice but won't be visiting there this time.
