We found a great campsite called Camping De Montreal, took us about 8 hours from Calais. Has an English speaking owner and an English speaking vet not far away. A lake with a beach, plus lifeguard. Real nice pitches, immaculate toilets and a restaurant. It's next to a small village and to reach the site have to go down some backlanes, so really big MHs may have a problem.

Eis it the one with the little bar with english people on the other side of the lake over the bridge. The site has just changed management and reopened?

Another site near limoges to consider and ideal for chilling out is Parc Verger. We are easy to access and can cater for the larger motohome.

Stayed at this site out of season a few times, very good and cheap supermarket diesel not far away.

We've being going there for forty years, old friends live in the village. It used to be a municipal, the Dutch couple who run it now do great meals each evening. No extra for lakeside pitches off season.
