I think I just want a dish! I hope I dont need a receiver as well...
Can I just plug a dish in like an aerial?
Will the freeview receiver on my TV work with it?
Will Play TV (PS3) work with it?
What is Zone 1 Zone 2 all about?
What size do I want?
Mesh or non-mesh?
How much should I spend to get something that actually works?!

You WANT a dish, but you also need a receiver.

Freeview = normal aerial.

Freesat = dish/LNB/receiver.

The ALDI kit has a receiver with the dish. You should be able to get all satellites with it.
If you want Sky then you will need a digibox & card.

I assume Play TV does not include a satellite receiver, I could be wrong.

Aldi - got a similar one, it works.

Maplin - this isn't a portable kit so you'd have to make your own mounting arrangements.

The Aldi has a sucker, is that going to be good enough ? OK on glass but the very thin ali skin of some MHs could get damaged.

Make sure you get a 12V one for total flexibility.

Make sure your display TV can take the signal from the satellite receiver ( phono ? scart ? or RF ? )
