Hi,we are wanting to get a little runaround for our future trips in our motorhome ,am i right in thinking that i can only ride a 50cc moped / scooter if i want to take a passenger due to not having a full bike license. The wife & i both passed our driving test in the mid 70`s,would this make any difference to the cc capacity we could use?Any advice greatly welcomed.Kip..

Yes.. I think your correct... 50cc you can ride with a passenger with a car license.
Any bigger you need pass a bike test.

50cc with 2 up can be very slow :(

Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
You can drive some of the scooters with 2 wheels at the front ,some are 500 cc and have plenty of power.
Car licence is all that's required.

I didn't ever take my Bike test either, we just slapped L plates on and sometimes didn't bother with that. As a result I've purchased one of these so that I can ride it on a car license. It's 300 cc so no lack of power. The 125 it replaced was okay but of course I couldn't legally carry a passenger. 50cc is too small for two people.

There are some that might disagree........

Yes Allan but the old dear on the back is the heaviest of the four and she is less than 5 stone dripping wet, so I reckon the total weight on that Honda is about 14 - 15 stone, about the same as me on me Jack.....

Ah, you were talking about weight not numbers.....

Will this help sway your opinion?
