In your opinion! if you bought an LPG adapter on ebay that was clearly pictured as BRASS but the seller sent you an aluminium one, how would you react?

Wow lighter than brass Sorry I mainly only work with alloy so love the stuff, depends what grade to soft & it will wear!

Yes brass is brass and a long time player in gas fittings.
Seller says aircraft grade and lighter saves them postage cost. SO WHY NOT picture the item they are selling Oh Please!?
Aircraft grade being in evidence like how?

I've given them negative feedback as they were so nonchalant about it and bought a brass one from Gasit for £7.20 delivered.

Sorry but that is not good enough. Finding packaging and going to a post office is far more expensive in terms of my time than the cost of postage.
IMHO if a seller is selling something it should be exactly as they picture it. Had they sent me a 1 carat diamond I might make an exception

I have a long standing good experience of ebay and my own feedback as mainly a buyer is 950.
I do expect sellers to be accurate and honest. I rarely give negative feedback but this just asked for it

Ive done it in the past. Was very simple and ebay actually refunded me in full.

After giving them the chance to exchange or refund and being ignored you should have started an ebay claim.....as the part was not as described your complaint would have been upheld and a black mark on their ebay record.
Unless of course, the listing stated aluminium.

This was the listing with a very nice picture of a quality brass fitting.
Description says
"Item can vary in appearance slightly but is suitable for purpose described."
NOT maybe a completely different alloy!!!

shame they were very quick in delivering though . shame i thought they were a good company .

This looks like one of those eBay sellers that really annoy me. The detail and length of their "terms and conditions" is of more consequence to them than bothering to describe fully the item they are selling.

In my near two decades as an ebay user I am very familiar with the disputes procedure and always been successful.
For this price bracket I just would not dream of bothering my arris.
China sellers are much better at this. If you didn't receive it in the time specified they immediately refund you and they say keep it free if it turns up later.
I guess in UK it would need to be £20 or more for me to get angry. I'd rather just give negative where it is due

Yes I pointed out that if they are going to habitually send out aluminium for this fitting then they should revise the very many listings they have of it shown as brass. She said she would pass this on to their web person

Appearance can only mean machining or finish NOT material

SLIGHT is not a different alloy, that is major

i agree with you on the chinese i was buying car parts off them 30 yrs ago . possibly the best ones to deal with in the world .
mind i dont think so many new china was making so much back then . they made things direct for eu manufacturers even back then .
must have been twenty years ago they had trucks and buses working off batteries etc still cant hardly do it in eu yet. i couldnt believe my eyes .
