If I buy a number of Flashing LED's and joining them all up to a 12v supply, will they work?

Is there an easy way of doing it, remember that I have very little electrical knowledge..

Yes, no reason why not.

There are lots of ways to do it, it all depends on what they are for and where they are going.

What type are you looking at?
If it's the ones advertised as 12v flashing LED's that have a built in resistor you can just connect as many as you like in parallel.

If it is individual LED's you will need a current limiting resistor in series with them you can put a resistor in line with each LED and then paralell them, or if running on 12v you could put up to 6 LED's in series with a single current limiting resistor feeding them.

The simple way to do that is buy these:
Broken Link Removed
No wiring or cutting into anything. The battery lasts for about a year if they are on 247/365. Next time we meet up you can have a look as I have them on all windows on 247/365 as a backup for the alarm system.

So if I bought these

And then linked them to a 12v supply they would flash at different intervals or all at the same time?

Series or parallel?

I doubt they would flash together unless they were hooked up to a central controller.

has anybody else parked next to a Vanbitz alarm and found it annoying?

blue flashing lights outside at night are a little concerning in the early hours

and while on the subject, why do alarms need to make so much noise when they 'unset' at ungodly hours it is really annoying, locking I understand the need / desire to confirm setting, the whole camp site does not need to know you are home again

as for OP, not got a clue :)

I love those vanbitz blue flashing lights, they scream, "go and rob someone else" However, vanbitz now do a high and low-profile light deterrent, so you can choose with the flick of a switch to have the lights very bright and unmissable, or just a soft glow for when on a campsite or similar. (y)
