What to do?
How to insure the MH!
We sold the house, parents are retired and and live in MK, friends all have MK (Milton Keynes) postcodes! Which means high premiums and our insurers won't insure van sitting on cul-de-sac road outside parents house, same with friends house and Comfort won't give us FT ins as van is too old for them!
We are with Saga at present.

This may be expensive but would be a solution.

Use your parents MK address as your residence address.

Find a storage site the the insurance company will accept and use that as the place the van is kept when you aren't using it. You would need to pay for a place on the site just in case. You never know, if it's a CASSOA Gold site the reduced insurance premium may even more than cover the cost of paying for the storage place. You have the added advantage of having somewhere safe to keep the van if you ever need to park it up for a while.

Can't use parents address as van will not fit down side of house and our ins won't insure it standing out on road!
Will have to try AIB and anyone else we can find. Thanks.

You can use it as your registered address as long as the van isn't to be kept there overnight.
That's where a storage site comes in.

We have the same issue: When we have the van at home it's parked on the road which the insurance company really don't like so when we aren't using it it lives at a Cassoa Gold storage facility which they are much happier with.

Insurance premium for on the road compared to insurance premium for the storage site plus the site fees is pretty similar. There's only loose change in it.
