Off on our 1st trip to France on Saturday. We are on the 17.20 from Newhaven to Dieppe and don't arrive until around 22.30 so we are looking for a safe and convienient Aire near Dieppe to bed down for the night.

I have the Aires book and there are many in there but having never been to France in MH before, we have no idea what to expect.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We have 2 weeks (still a member of the working population for at least 25yrs) and nothing booked or plans made or even a return ferry .

We plan to just follow the sun and see where it takes us so any recommendations warmly welcomed.

We have a scooter on the back as well as a dinghy with outboard so hoping for lots of fun

There is an aire about 300 yards away from the ferry terminal at Dieppe. We have stopped there on several occasions without any problems. The last time we were there the charge was €7 per night.

If you're up for a 9 mile drive at that time of night there's a nice little spot in St Nicolas D'Aliermont 49.88021, 1.22101.
If not on your outward journey then maybe on the way home.
It's a handy last stop before the ferry.

The one by the port has just been refurbished, they were just finishing it of in June, the one in the town by the beach is not much more than a car park.

A few km west at Saint-Valery-en-Caux there is an Aire right on the harbor wall, arrive early if you want a sea view, 49.872250, 0.709477

And just down the road at Veulettes-sur-Mer there are 2 Aires a large one near the beach with open fields behind, 49.854455, 0.606282
and a smaller one nearer the town, 49.852133, 0.602063

We can confirm the aire is open and much improved. Large pitches, clearly marked, pay on way out (cost depends how long you stay 7 € for 24 hours, less if your stay is shorter). Check there is space before you enter through the barrier.

The refurbished one by the ferry has got to be a must and please take some pictures for us. The advertised rate for overnight was forecast to be €12 per night due to very large investment.
It will be barrier entry system and clearly defined pitches
