have a early ferry crossing to Calais, looking to stop over night close to Dover. So can catch early ferry. Any recommendations much appreciated.

Agree new dover road think its about half hour and you can top up and empty if needed. cheers mick

New Dover Road. Make sure you're there before 8.30PM though because the barriers are locked after that

No they are open on Sundays now, or at least they were earlier this year when I emailed Colin Perris and then arrived there on a Sunday

Overnight parking is also possible on The Esplanade. That is the other end of Marine Parade away from the Gateway Flats and the Hotel. It is signed with a caravan sign on the posts. It is near the marina and not overlooked by any houses. Day parking is meter controlled, so arrive late, leave early. We often park here for the early morning ferry. TESCO at Whitfield on A2 has a time limit of 3 hours now.

Personly, I know it's too late now if you've booked, we always get the afternoon ferry or tunnel, go over then you have a choice of aires to stop for free, no getting up early in the morning , no worries of where to stop in Dover, just a waste of a night when you could be over there.
