Been feeling really poorly last few weeks ( seems allegies have knackered immune system, eyes damaged and new medication being tried causes my skin to burn in sunlight-- it's delightful)
Haven't connected van, battery is flat. Hook up lead is locked in compartment which has to be accessed through back doors and I can't open them. I can only get in through driver's door using key.
Any idea what I do?

Can you get a jump start from someone, it will then charge the battery.

Didn't think of that!

Found jump leads but can't get van bonnet open. I am defeated.
Camper van for sale if anyone interested.

I don't suppose you are with the RAC or AA or anyone like that?

If you can get in van then surely you can pop the bonnet catch !
There isn't one but neighbour came to help, got bonnet open but he says I don't start a diesel van from a petrol car. Will call RAC.

Makes sense if the car only has a little battery as many modern cars do.

Another neighbour came to the rescue and jump started van. It worked from my car so not sure why 1st neighbour had been given info that it wouldn't. Charging now so hopefully will be ok by tonight. Thanks for all ideas.
