Hi everyone, can you help. After many years wanting to stay in the UK for Christmas her who guides me wants to head away. She has had itchy feet fitted after 3 months touring Spain and France this year. We have had all the repairs done to our Carthago crate and ready to roll round about mid December. We are after any sites or Aires around Roses or slightly south. We like the coastal areas and villages.
Your help and knowledge will be much appreciated.

Sunny on Costa Brava but temps not good in winter. Go further south. BUSBY.

:( Costa Brava not very nice that time of year..
You need to be further south near Valancia and down..

I used to go Santa Suzanna (Loret) in March, kids sometimes wore their coats in the daytime !!

Since 2007. But no more.
As far as I know, most campsites on the Costa Brava close for winter, around October time.
You need to be South of Valencia. The best winter climate being Costa Blanca and Andalucia on the Med coast.

Two sites in Alcossebre both good and open all year.

Playa Tropicana right on beach, rally takes up a lot of big pitches from Jan.

Ribamar a bit farther out about a mile up an unmade, but easily driveable, road and in a Natural Park.

We have stayed and enjoyed both, really depends what you like, no guarantee of good weather wherever you go.

We will also be heading to Spain after Christmas for Jan and Feb.
Just cross your fingers for the weather, but that applies to anywhere nowadays.
Mitch.

Alicante way.... Have spent many a Christmas day on the beach with countless others celebrating the day.. We even have a tradition of forming a line of humans entering the sea together. Last count was over 100 !!
3 campsites locally (there are many more) :-
1. www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/.../spain/costablanca/marjal

2. Broken Link Removed

3. Rincon de la luna. Recently re-opened. This is a very quiet site and not too large. Surrounded by fruit orchards and will need other transport (bikes, etc) to reach local 'life'. Great place for cycling !
