Well a little bit of it. After a horrendous journey to tunnel made it to Gravelines aire for a peaceful night....

You can not imagine my surprise when reading the Guardian next morning over coffea that 100's of migrants had stormed Eurotunnel when they heard his judgrlieness was present.! The poor things were kept from me! Not one autograph signed and no one had the opportunity to kiss my ring!

Hopefully can pick up a few on trip back and assist them with to a better life.....have 6 at home at the moment tending Mental Manor. It'd how we became great don't cha know..exploitation!!

Traffic heavy today with Holland being emptied..tommorow will be worse.

Got last spot on Aire outside Metz Municipal which has been full since we arrived at 4 pm. So hot here.......Tommorow we will be in black forest. Showered and oft into town for drinks and din dins....cheerio funsters,!:)

Not good...woke up lying on cold flagstones prostrate before a statue if the virgin Mary in this place pictured.... Clothes soiled, cash gone and also moi's £500 dolchie & cabana glasses!

Last thing I remember was two Lithuanian girls telling me I was a beautiful man... Keep talking girls but get over it!

Practicalities;

Fuel: french supermarket 1.12 euro. Luxemburg 1.05.
Gravelines aire 7 euro, no facilitie
Metz Aire free. Facilities
A pint and a cocktail 10 euro ( paid half price as barman overwhelmed with moi's presence)

Simple Lebanese meal. Kebab & chips. Feta salad & chips 13 euro

Heading towards Strasbourg to Shiltach in black forest. No Three in Germany, so comms will be wifi only. The land of strudel and excellent beer beacons! Unfortunately German food abysmal! So much salt....

BBC news: on the busiest weekend of the year Kent & Calais gridlocked with 4 hr tunnel delays if you can get there! We had enough trouble on Thursday:(

Now a year !
Great advice as I would expect! Enjoy your trials, best stay a while as the weather is rough and the ferries a problem. We are hoping to go to Germany in September so will read your post with interest.

Culture? Moi investigates the underbelly of society when traveling the dark recesses of the tourist trails (and at home actually!)

Traffic was surprisingly OK today arrived at Aire lunchtime ...had a wonder round and then lunch in van. Out to local restaurant tonight that was recomended in bar lunchtime ( two drinks pictured 5.1e)

aire free with elec and water but oddly no toilet dump....

all that wont do your diet any good. @Judgemental . but have fun and be safe.

Diet went out the window in Spain in the spring:(

3|10 for the strudel..will endeavour to find better!:)

At Carthago city last night. Had a test drive in an A class this morning, and the large ledge in front which worried me is actually fine when driving. So glad I had a go...

Over to Hymer factory now its only 17mins down the road

Thanks for telling us about your travels Judge, sounds like you are having fun.

We tried to get on the Metz aire last year but it was full so we stayed at the adjacent municipal campsite which was very nice.

We are heading in more or less the same direction as you next month so keep the updates coming.

Hello! strudel fans! WiFi thin on the ground here in germany..

Cycled into lindau, staying on aire outside campsite 12e a night and use of campsite facilities. Weather grey

Fuel germany: 1.15-1.24. JET seems the cheapest. Stayed exclusively on Aires some with elec on meter. Essential for Mrs Mentals hair dryer.

wifi in cafe poor so no pics. In Switzerland tommorow, all being well Three should work again!

Strudel has been disappointing this trip. just had a 7|10 in port at Lindau. Have had 9|10 previously and even a perfect 10 year's ago...

Must dash!

It was a Chic? Not sure what model. I don't know re doing a deal there...but they have used for sale so I guess so.

Factory visits need booking. We were there for showrooms only....Only the most expensive range built at CCity. Others built in Czech i think?
