Just back from the local Fiat dealer... 06 ducato (under a Bessie E425) with 12k on the clock and it needs new gear linkage cables:Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh:

Oh, should have mentioned that 'No SIR, IT'S NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY' (Quelle surprise :ROFLMAO:)

I think you will find that absolutely nothing is covered by the Fiat gaurantee after the first 12 months, they are reluctant to cover even that. I am speaking from experience of the gaurantee myself

dont understand why it needs "new" cables at 12k.

mines 2001 and done 30 odd k and is as smooth and positive as ever as if the lever is gated.

if its sloppy changes they are adjustable,
if its tight then try lubing them first.
new cables and fitting wont be cheap.
