Since Nov 2010 after 25 yrs under canvas.
We will be doing a lot of touring in Scotland in August (Plan to go to the top).

Our 3 data sim was just brilliant throughout France, but a look at an online map seems to indicate 3 coverage in Scotland is patchy.

Can anyone here recommend a good provider for Scotland?

Thanks

I live in Fife and regularly visit the Highlands/NW Scotland. I've always found Vodafone to be the best provider - but not infallible

I have EE and got GPRS at Dunnet Bay, Howie got no signal on vodaphone. Very patchy reception everywhere.

On and off for many years.
I use EE, hubby uses vodafone. Sometimes both work, sometimes mine only and now and again his only :)

Used 3 all over Scotland last year, even at John o' Groats. Had very few black spots.

I regularly have problems with my 3 sim including parts of the Lake District. I therefore have an old phone and a selection of SIM cards for other networks.

It's a hit and a miss whatever network you use. Some local pubs have wifi so try to use places like them for important stuff. If it's not important look at it as spending quality time away from Internet.
