One thing I have gleaned is that a GB sticker must be displayed regardless of Euro or GB on the number plate

Don't do like me and buy a magnetic GB sign for a GRP/Alluminium body. Doh!
Far as I know, bike covers don't come with an integral warning square. There is a transparent 'envelope' sewn into my cover where you slide the warning square into. It fastens at the top edge with Velcro.

Outside of the EU the Vienna Convention usually applies.Euro symbol
If you display the Euro symbol and Great Britain (GB) national identifier on your number plate, then you won’t need a separate GB sticker when travelling within the European Union.
The Euro symbol must:
- be a minimum height of 98mm
- have a width between 40 and 50mm
- have a reflective blue background with 12 reflecting yellow stars at the top
- show the member state (GB) in reflecting white or yellow
