We were on the Henley CC site last week and really enjoyed it. Our original destination was Bude but the weather was so bad we decided to cut our losses and chase the sun to the South east.

I stayed a full week for the regatta at the four Oaks site this year - was very relaxing and enjoyable - though I agree the road noise can interfere.
I went to school in H-o-T and mum lived there until she died so happy memories.
The tow path walk down stream to the Flower Pot pub and beyond is lovely.

You'll see just how well a Swiss banker can live - not everyone can afford to build a family chapel under a 6 story protective gurder frame!

Motor homing since 1998.
Stayed at Swiss Farm last month, our second visit this year. Really good site, at the time it was as cheap as CC. but much quieter away from the traffic. Henley is family home, so nice to go back occasionally.

Motor homing since 1998.
Lots of pubs about & upper priced eateries around. A branch of Cafe Rouge almost next door to The Catherine Wheel in main street. The Angel by the bridge. A lot of choice. A lot of good ales as well. Boon Dongle or London Pride for me, but lots from small local breweries.
Bus stop at site entrance, 800 service to Marlow or Reading if you take a bus pass.
Less frantic now the regatta & festival are gone.
Nice walks along the Thames.
Bus to Mill End, toward Marlow & walk back.
Enjoy your visit.

No contest - walk along tow path down stream (past regatta marquee etc) to lock, then right -path through field to Flower Pot pub. Lovely (p.s. there are a few dead animals in glass cabinets!)
