Hi all, looking for first motorhome. No real requirements other than full shower room and cassette toilet. budget between £3500-£5000 . I've trawled ebay and autotrader etc, and its very hit and miss.

The closer to Derby are, the better

Just wanted to say good luck with your hunt.

Be aware that there are a lot of scams around and never part with ANY money until you have done all the checks. A genuine seller will be more than happy for you to bring a friend along to look with you and for you to do the checks that need doing.

If it appears to be too good to be true it probably is.

Yes I know that , my fault , didn't check them before I put the link up , as there are usually some genuine bargain motorhomes in the advertiser.

Adibranch... You will find this site very helpful and could save you a lot of cash and maybe heartache.. Full subcription is only £10 a year.. We see a few people who come on after they have lost money

Thanks all ! some useful info I'm very web savvy and pretty savvy in general, and wont fall for a scam. I've been looking around for two or three months and know what I'd get for the money, so anything more now stands out a mile.

I'm keeping an eye on ebay , autotrader. I don't like ebay for buying cars etc, but may be going to look at a couple over the next day or two. In the meantime i'll hang around and see what info and deals I can find on here

okay, does that vary then on specific models? There'll only ever be me and my little lad travelling.. he's a small six year old so i'll need to be able to put the high back booster in there, which needs a full seat belt.
