watched this on youtube looks like a good piece of kit. Looked on amazon and it says can be recharged from cigarette lighter, cost £50.99. What do people who know more about this sort of thing than me think.

It's a Lithium Ion battery at a very good price and I've no doubt it will do what is claimed. My only criticism is that by the time you need it to start a vehicle it may very likely have died. It will have a finite life so if its stored away for when needed in an emergency you'd have no idea about its condition. Bought as an off-grid phone or laptop charger it would do the job, be regularly tested, and would be useful if needed as a jump-starter. Its overall lifespan would be similar to that of a laptop battery.

Says it has 3000 charge cycles
Seems too good to be true but truly amazing claims.

NOTICE:
In case of dormancy for long time, it is suggested to maintain certain battery capacity and charge it at least every 3 months.
To start 12V car, please make sure the power should be in 20% or above. It is recommended to charge it before starting the car if less than 20%

Spec on casing claims 250amp starting power 500amp peak

13600mah so 13.6ah is that right?

Looks like it could be useful but I was hoping when I watched the vid it might make a decent back up for the leisure battery..

You are right but it means nothing without the battery voltage, could be a single 4V cell.

So would that be better or worse lol..

My point is that at 13.6ah it isn't going to help of the leisure battery dies before you've made your first cuppa in the morning.

Gotcha. Well 13.6Ah even at 12V is not a lot but if at 4V is 3 times worse.

I've watched the video now, is this Delboy's undiscovered grandson ?

I was researching this type of device a few months ago after watching this.

and this

I did some research and decided to buy this.

It is on my wishlist and should be in my hands within a month or so.
It was highly rated on a few trustworthy tech review sites and quite a few reviews of it starting V8 pickups with flat batteries. RavPower do have a good reputation. It costs a bit more than your device at £62 though.

I bought it Amazon product ASIN B00S64X8BK It worked fine on my 2.8JTD twice. Battery was below 12V and the pack gave enough juice to get me going.
Got one of Eddie Van Bitz Battery masters to fit and also have a CTEK charger installed for when mains is available and a 10Watt solar panel for the Dash. With all those options I doubt I am going to get stuck again.

Got one very similar, (as a Chrissy pressy). Works very well. Started up the boat three cylinder Lister air cooled with it last week. Not sure of it's lifespan though.
