Have booked Eurotunnel for 14th September at around midday ( Dont have precise time at hand ) How flexible are they if you got there earlier and wanted to change time of crossing? ... Our first time using the Tunnel so hoping some of you seasoned crossers may know the score....TIA

Up to two hours early , they would put you on the first one that had a slot, think it works upto two hours late as well, but not sure

They are usually very flexible.

You can get there as early as you like within reason. When you check in through the barriers you will be offered the first available train, often at no extra charge.
You can't check in more than 2 hours before your train time so if you are earlier than this and want to go through the barriers you have to accept the earlier time it offers you whether you're charged more or not.

We've been 3 hours early and got almost straight onto a train without having to pay any more. The only time we've been charged is when we arrived about 14 hours early at Folkestone (Cock up. Don't ask!)

We've arrived early and the automatic booth wanted to charge us but we declined.
Went into the terminal and saw a very helpful lady on the information desk and she put us on the next train f.o.c.

Makes sense for them really, if the train you are booked on is full, if they can put you on an earlier train that has room spare , they could possibly get someone else in your spot who just turn up and charge them double, everyone's a winner
