you may have to rethink

it will only be useful on an EHU , do you plan on being on serviced pitches most of the time ?
If not, it's just an expensive heavy bread bin ..

or do you already have a decent sized battery bank and 2kw inverter to power it ?

It has been said on here, that unless your inverter is a pure sine wave type, a microwave won't work properly.
Haven't tried it myself, but it might be worth doing some research!

We very rarely have hook up so to us a microwave would just be a waste of space. I think you would do better to use the MH as it is for now and see how you get on without one. You might be surprised to find you can easily manage without one.

As Jim says it could become a very heavy breadbin!

Thanks Jim. We have 2 leisure batteries and an inverter but I'm not sure of how many kws it is!
OK.. bear in mind the stated 'wattage' of a microwave cooker is the 'cooking power' .. not the power used to run it.. you can find that on the data plate .. also, the inverter has to be sized for the start up or inrush current ..

from wiki
An average consumer microwave oven consumes 1100 W of electricity in producing 700 W of microwave power, an efficiency of 64%.

which means a 700w microwave will pull 1100/12 = 92 Amps .. or 92ah ..
so 10 mins use will use 15.33 ah
