Hi, we have a 30 litre underslung gas tank and are on a 9-week tour in Europe. We filled up twice with no problems in France and Italy but have just taken on 4 litres in Germany and since then our gas pressure has been diabolical - we can just about manage to use one burner but any more than that and the flame just dies away. I'm guessing we picked up some dirty gas????

Questions - can anyone hazard thoughts as to what's really happened and why? And then of course, has anyone any idea how we can increase the pressure? Has anyone else experienced this, by the way?

What made you put 4 litres in, was it already performing in such a way to make you think it was running out?
It is very very unlikely that the German gas is the issue especially as a very small percentage of your tank capacity.

The gauge was showing half so we thought we'd fill up. It shoyld have taken more than 4 litres if the gauge is right but the pump wouldn't squeeze out another drop. The gauge is now showing three quarters.

The gauges are rubbish to be honest. Mine is half full when down to one light

Before the fillup, the gas pressure was fine. The system was brand new before we started out this trip.
I wonder if you've got a truma regulator with secumotion hose and it needs resetting?

I would phone your installer for assistance/advice

A last possibility is the tank shut off has kicked in. If all else failed turn off the gas ON THE TANK wait a few minutes then slowly .....open it.

Yes the regulator looks very like that, we pressed the green button but no difference. We'll try the turn off and switch on in the morning as the tank is under the van and it's raining at the mo. Thanks very much for all your suggestions, and yours Jim, and I'll post again ti let you know the result.

Thanks niftyfifty, hopefully we've been lucky this time because I think Andy the Genius has fixed it for us - hubby got under the van, turned the gas off then slowly put it back on again. I wasn't holding out much hope to be honest but hey it worked. I guess it's not only computers that need the occasional reboot! Thanks again all.

Your right there , things are easier if you have an idea how things work. I must admit to a little envy when I see how easy some people understand technical stuff.

When filling never keep the button pressed in an effort to squeeze more gas in. Release as soon as the fast fill stops being fast. That last fill sounds like you may have tried too hard given that you thought you were low but it only took 4 litres. I'm sure this may be related to the safety valve operating on the outlet.
This is a tank feature but I'm sure this now also includes R67 bottles.
