Hi Everyone. We are a family of 4 and 2 dogs, complete newbies with no clue what we are doing!! We bought our first MH 3 days ago and have since stood inside it scratching our heads as to how it all works (even though seller did show us it went straight over our heads!) we are now here hoping to gather information on everything from how it works, tip and best places to go. Lokk forward to chatting with you all over the coming months. Regards to all. Lisa :)

Hi and welcome, get whatever you need for a night into the van and use it on your drive, then if any problems you can get back on here easily and ask for advice, and its not too far to get back to your other bed. :)

Firstly pay the £10 joining fee as you only get 5 posts.
Where about in Manchester are you as there maybe someone near with the experience to show you around and work out how everything works.

(even though seller did show us it went straight over our heads!)

Not at all surprising, MHs are quite complex homes, just different from a normal home to completely wrong foot you.

The number one thing to get to grips with is resources. Everything is limited, a shower is a quick sprinkle of water, soap, another sprinkle of water. You have 3 or 4 days gas in winter. You don't even think of hair dryers if you have any sense. Your vehicle has a weight limit, weigh it at least once when loaded or risk a fine and huge inconvenience.

Newbie!
:wine:Hi from Cambridge we are new to Motorhoming too!
We are still waiting for ours but joined the site a short while ago. They are an experienced fun lot on here! Ask any question however daft, you will soon get a reply along with the odd joke. Don't forget to get your smiley sticker for your new MH!
My tip is pack a real wine glass it tastes much nicer than a plastic one!

Hello and welcome, sorry I can't help much as I am not familiar with that model but someone on the site will know of it I am sure.
:welc:You will have to establish the payload of the van, what you can actually carry after you have the essentials such as fuel and water, it quite often comes as a surprise to people as too how little they are legally allowed, but then not everyone drives around legal.
The tyres should hopefully be no more than 5 years old, little to do with depth of tread more about the condition of the sidewalls as vans can stand around for long periods doing nothing which is not the best for tyres.
I have not been a member of the site for long myself but I would assume that there is a beginners guide somewhere within and as said previously there are plenty of good people here to help you out.
Have fun with it.
Norman.

There really is more to learn than it is possible to pick up while you are looking with excitement around your new van.
Even getting things like the fridge and heating doing what you want, can be a struggle at first, so if you are not sure about anything; ask! As someone somewhere said, there are no daft questions, only daft people who don't ask them.
