New Westfalia picked up today and safely tucked up on the driveway. Very chuffed with it. Having been without a van for over six months I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms. At just 5.4m long 'Westie' easily fits in a car park space, as this picture shows.

Two week (all that work allows) French summer trip already planned...

Nice van but alas you've been miss informed ,a parking space is 4.8 x 2.4 so you can't possibly fit never mind easily
However you stand a much better chance than most of us especially as you can get the extra .6 over the kerb at the front .
Any pictures of the inside of the van and what you get in a tardis like vehicle

Ok, so you spotted the 'slight' overhang at the front, but i'm still impressed that I managed to squeeze into a normal car parking space.

Oh yes, we will be road testing with a few English weekends away.

France is the priority though. Plan to drive from Calais down to Beziers (avoiding toll routes) with stops in the Loire Valley (Sully-sur-Loire chateau) and Carcassonne on route. Will return via the Pyrenees National park (visiting Pic du Midi de Bigorre by cable car) and come home via Bilbao to Portsmouth.

Now fully loaded - am amazed how much stuff you can pack into a 5.4m van. The boot space is enormous.

Westfalia still build fantastic vans, the finish beautiful. Had a VW American import years ago which we outgrew and it has always been my most missed van.....
