Hi
getting ready for this weekends fixit it meet . I connected the EHU , turned on the fridge to 240 v and checked the control panel-showing NO CONNECT -nothing would work. Not showing 240v connected or 12 v in operation.
Checked the mains in -ok 240v
checked fuses ok
checked trips ok.
unplugged mains -control panel still showing NO CONNECT. Nothing on 12v

turned on the engine -fired up first time.
Switched engine off -checked control panel and all was ok. Batteries all showing fully charged

Can anyone advise why this would happen and possible cause. Its a mystery but all seems ok now. there is nothing in the manual.

Its a Swift Sundance 630L 2007

many many years! since I was a kid
its a glitch with the control panel. sometimes you need to unplug and reset them to get them working again. or it could be the cut off relay sticking and starting the engine freed it off...does happen

If it's working now don't worry about it or keep a little eye on it.

Even the very simple program that controls your panel can have a glitch every now and then and if on the remote possibility you do have a problem there's nothing you can do about it while it's not there. Any fault finding engineer in any field will tell you that an intermittent fault is impossible to find when it isn't happening as by definition there's nothing wrong.

Unless you have the skills or are with someone who does when and if it reoccurs you will never find it. If you take it to an engineer now they will charge you for a couple of hours labour, either do nothing or guess and replace something random.

Thanks-any idea where the control panel can be "unplugged" from? in case it happens again.

Don't know but unplugging it probably won't help. If starting the engine seemed to fix it then make that plan A.

There's every chance it won't happen again.

Since 2005
Only connection between engine and panel is the split charge relay, the fridge relay and the hab isolation relay.
split charge and fridge relays have no relevence but if the hab isolator relay had stuck open then no 12v would be available....but the 230v should still work.
starting the engine may have jolted the relay back to life.
