Not being picky, but called Turiscampo,we have had some lovely stays there.
As been said, beautiful site, massively improved but basic price is 6 amp electric, pay the extra for 10 or suffer regular outages!,
However we visit over Xmas and new year so tend to pop the box occasionally !!
Goodish Indian restaurant in Espiche, meals on site Ok,
Just go and enjoy.

As said, good site with excellent facilities. Spent a month there last November. Easy walk to Praia da Luz and nice cycle ride to Lagos, which has a good selection of supermarkets. There are also some nice walks at the back of the campsite.
We also enjoyed the Indian restaurant in Espiche.

Hi, we stayed there about 18months ago, nice site and very good toilet block, but beware some of the pitches very shady. Outdoor swimming pool, but water too cold to try it when we were there. Personally didn't like where it was situated next to busy road, isolated, you couldn't walk anywhere really if you fancied a stroll at night because of this road and not really anywhere to walk to. I thought it was a long walk to Praia de Luz, we are both walkers normally but we took the motorhome out to go there. There is a bus outside the camp to Lagos.

Its less than 3 miles to Playa de Luz,,,only 5 miles to Lagos into old Town. Bus every half hour. Excellent cycling...Easy stroll,, less than 10 mins into adjoining village with good Indian Restaurant and bars. BUSBY.

Well I didn't rate where this site was situated. OK for a couple of days stop over but that's all in my opinion and I have stayed in plenty of campsites all over Europe.

We stayed there last November, below is our account taken from our blog, would agree with Sue, there are better positioned sites, good modern facilities, but isolated, unless want to use, bus, bikes all time.
Lin :)

Just a few Km down the road we moved to Turiscampo which is described as a very good site with all facilities open all year including the pool!

On arrival we checked in it is ACSI 16€ a night but we were also charged an extra 2.50 € for a second dog, this is the first time we have been charged for an extra dog when on an ACSI rate. Wifi not included extra 3€ a day.

You walk around and choose your pitch, can pay extra for bigger pitches or deluxe serviced pitches,. Supermarket open 08:00 until 13:00, the bar and restaurant were closed, despite the boast they are open all year, again facilities were closed in this case from 1St Nov to 10th Dec! Which is annoying when they are charging extra for a second dog, they should be reducing the rate for lack of facilities! Pitches are nice and place half empty, showers and toilets are very nice, modern and clean, again a dog shower provided. The village is a short walk away, but no footpath along a main road for about 500m, not great at night as no street lighting! We tried a local bar, only had bottled beer, 1€ a bottle and cold, more of a locals bar than tourist. There are a few restaurants, an Indian Sangam, Portuguese chicken/meat place called Adega do Papagaio and Fontenario and a family run restaurant, Portuguese and international food. We went for the Indian which was very good.

Due to wet weather we didn’t have much of a look around the village, it’s didn’t seem to have much else though.

Last year bar and restaurant was closed 1st Nov to 10th Dec, not sure if it was a one off or not?
Might be worth checking?

We are here now lovely site back toilet block being rebuilt by de luxe pitches so some noise but staff very helpful and will do anything for you. Bar restaurant open and pool and immaculate very modern toilets and shower blocks. Can walk to Luz or bus to Lagos site nearly full. Great deals now if book over a month stay includes electric 6 or 10 amp supply.
