Haven't heard that; but how will it affect the plastic and the seals?

The Blue chemical, and some of the green ones too, are horribly environmentally unfriendly and there are some campsites that will not let you tip it down their drains/emptying points.
Quite a few people here use Bio Magic or some other biological loo liquid (but you can't mix the two - bio and blue - as the blue kills the bio).

Toilet Duck may contain bleach which is a no no on these type of toilets.

Why use chemicals at all? save your money, it literally is throwing it down the drain. We never bother, they grey is always smellier than the black anyway.

What on earth is SOG ???????

Basically a small ventilation system attached to your Thetford cassette which keeps the cassette ventilated so that no chemicals are used and also stops odours entering your living space in your motorhome or caravan. It uses a small fan to blow the smell into your neighbours van or your awning::bigsmile:

Those that have them swear by them, but then you would if you had just spent £90 on a fan and a bit of tube:Eeek:

I've always though them grossly over priced .. but there are no competitors, the components cant add up to more than £20 ..

There was a thread either on here or the darkside about a DIY job using a puter fan a bit of flexie pipe and a few plumbing fittings. Trouble is I can't find it on here or on the Darkside.

So not much use I suppose:ROFLMAO:

We use a product called Oxyfix from Aldi, cost £1:49 a tub. Produces oxygen and works like Bio-Magic but a fraction of the cost. After using for 6 months have come across no unwanted side effects.:secret:

The question to be asked is are there any chemicals in the substance that will reduce the life of the plastic or seals in the toilet.

The toilet is extremely expensive so it's not worth saving a few bob if you then need to pay out a large sum for a new toilet.

Check the contents of the product carefully.
