Nice sites but I've seen rapid price rises when sites have been listed as cool so we tend to avoid them. This website has some lovely listing if money isn't a concern.

On a similar note, we have been to the same campsite in France for the last 3 years - it is basic but has everything we need. The site next door was in the top 10 European campsite list for a uk national newspaper 2 years ago and suddenly became packed out. It has a few more facilities compared to the one that we go to but but it doesn't have the great views, access to the river or space that we have. It also charges 2 or 3 times as much.

We've had a cool camping book for a couple of years and just ordered the new Europe book. Found some nice sites.

Yep agree, don't tend to use sites that often cos we move every day so tend to wildcamp, but do stop every now and again for empty, refill, and nice long shower

Some were. One we particularly like we srltarted using 3 years ago and his prices have increased quite a lot since mainly in July and August. He fills up though so he can charge it. It is a lovely site, we love it. Domaine des Mathevies.
