...can anyone suggest what size (length) of screw is suitable, necessary for a Finlux 22" led tv?

Website suggests tv weight is 3.7kg
Too long and I risk screwing into circuitry, too short & I risk tv falling off as I drive over a pothole.

Never used a tv bracket so have no 'feeling' of how big/small fixing should be

If the correct length is unknown simply screw one gently in by hand until it touches something..
TV off of course.

Mark where the thread stops, remove and measure the inserted thread and deduct a few millimeters.

Info is usually embossed on back of TV or written in handbook. If not you're safe with 6mm through the bracket.

Excellent @ScotJimland - thank you so much (y)
Might need to get some shorter ones - those I have are nearer 3/4"

Ordered TV just after midday, now being pinged that delivery is due tomorrow! Flipping amazing, flipping brilliant - how do they flipping do it??

Why does everyone buy Avtex at three times the price  ?

@Techno100
Was going to 'like' this but then realised I don't know what you mean - I'm guessing that regardless the length of screw (within reason), one is not going to tap into anything which might go fizzle splut.

We use the Vision Plus bracket fitted on an arm as suitable for that as well as wall fitting :) Just realised I'm repeating myself as on the other thread!

Correct, the screw will bottom out in the thread before the screw head tightens agin anything.

Not sure if some of the answers are for the fixing screws into the wall and some for the screws into the TV. Anyway I have the Finlux TV and its great, sound is a bit tinny but all seem a bit like that. I use a cheap set of computer speakers plugged into the headphone socket and they are better. As for the mount I have the swivel wall mount but also kept the original stand, the bracket holds it in place and the stand takes the weight. I guess most people do not have this option but my 634l has a shelf above the heater.

Ok - so Finlux arrived today - gotta be impressed - less than 24 hours from ordering (y).

Unfortunately - bracket is a no go. There's not enough clearance for the plugs, especially the 12v supply :(.

So off to little local TV man. He's brill. All those little things you need but Currys don't sell.
So get a basic bracket (£15) plus an aerial cable plus a right-angle hdmi connector.
Then off to nearby accessory shop because telly came with cigar type plug & regular 13amp plug but I needed one of those two prong clip 'clipsal' things.

So armed with all my booty - mount the tv on bracket & fire it up - all good... except no signal .
Check the connections, MH has one of those amplifier thingies.
Cut a long story shorter than the faffing about.
Roof top aerial must be buggered. Amplifier worse than useless (I got 7 channels - briefly - by bypassing it altogether). Best result was with a coat hanger [almost], found an old indoor aerial I use for radio - got 70 digital channels :D.
So, at some stage, I'm going to have to get a proper roof aerial installed - no hurry as I'm not a huge live tv watcher.
Finlux tv works fine on DVD and on HDMI input (no sound, but that's an issue with the hudl, remedied with a bluetooth speaker). Haven't tried the USB playback yet.

All in all very happy

So - recommended Freeview aerials (and local to PBoro installers ) anyone ???

So - recommended Freeview aerials

I have a Vision Plus Status and it is great..

we are on the fringe for good Digital TV reception and this aerial works great.. 120+ channels and no problem aligning it..

It was on the van when we bought it.. and I was going to buy a satellite dish.. until I tried it.. and was so impressed, i won't bother with a sat dish now ..

I wouldn't recommend the Status Omni directional.. never had much luck with them on caravans.. the Vision Plus Omni is a whole new ball game..

Yikes  !!!
That's as much as my TV (at the cheaper eBay price), plus fitting.
I was thinking more like a £20 job .
I can live without 'live' TV at those numbers - but thanks.

Thanks @Wombles that's more like it .
Which do you have? The 2000 or 3000?
You said 2 but link goes to 3...
Probably makes no odds - both £40 on Amazon.

Aerial Update:
Thanks to those pointing me in the direction of the & recommending the Avtex sth2000 - I ordered one and a sth3000 turned up .
Anyway - just "installed" it in the wardrobe using the 12v from the existing [useless] fitted roof aerial.

So, results...
1. Existing fitted roof aerial with amplifier = 7 channel registered but unwatchable (n)
2. Cheapie 'coathanger' = 27 channels but 68 channels plugged into van's amplifier [a few unwatchable]
3. Avtex = 232 channels  + :D
All pretty much full on signal & all watchable [in the tuning sense, not necessarily content ]

And (y) to Funsters for alerting me to such a thing as a directional aerial app - brilliant & free.

As a rule of thumb the length of any size screw has only to be 1.5 times its diameter to achieve maximum strength.
i.e. 6mm screw needs to be 9mm into the mounting.
I would be very surprised if the inserts in the TV are any longer
