Taking Off A Flamma Bike Rack (1 Viewer)

Going to take my bike rack off my motorhome
What do I do about the holes it will leave on/in the van
Inside the van are caps
But how do I stop damp getting in

can you not just leave the mounting brackets.. just remove the rack.. then it's easily put back on if you ever need it or sell the van ?

That is what I do when I don't use the rack. 5 min job taking the thing off / putting it on again.

Might decide to sell the back box and maybe the bike rack
As I don't ride a bike and two there's only me and my dog and I have managed to pack the van for our month on the Outer Hebredes without any clutter

When i removed our bike rack I discovered that the fixings were not only bolted through the wall of the van, but also glued on the to the outer surface. I managed to remove the two upper (smaller) brackets, filled the holes with silicone, then applied a white, square, self adhesive backed reflector which neatly covered the hole.
Looked very smart and no leaks either.
Left the wider bottom fixing in place as it would have caused too much damage to the paint surface.
As luck would have it, we had the whole back of the van replaced under warranty soon afterwards due to a leak on the rear window.
