Gave up waiting for the awning manufacturers to bring a taller porch awning to market (until October NEC show anyway ;)) & want one for this summer so after much searching have bought this to use for now http://www.campingandleisure.co.uk/acatalog/rapid-220-2015.html

Looks like a good fit.
Photos are off website (not me!) & don't know how well it will fit in the Fiamma awning channel on our motorhome but probably no worse than any other awning designed for a caravan does  For anyone considering using a caravan awning attached to a Fiamma channel you may also need this adapter http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00K2SXVOW/?tag=mhf04-21 .

Rapid 220 awning arrived today & put it up to try. Overall impression is that it is good value for money & the tallest & best fit lightweight porch for our Chausson that we have found - we have tried quite a few! Particularly good points are the height adjustable front poles, the overall design that means that it does clear our hab door & still fit down to the ground with a fair bit to spare plus it fits back into the carry bag (y) The storm strap connection points are on the front poles so no stress on the fabric. Small niggles are that the curtain material is rolled down & fixed at the bottom of the windows rather than rolled up so more bending down plus more chance of getting dirty. Also the skirt (sits inside the awning) is like the tent material so not as easy to wipe clean as it could be. Overall for £79.99 including swift delivery it is a good enough practical budget option until the awning manufacturers bring out something in a similar design that is taller again for when the motorhome is on levelling ramps, takes into account the fitting to/around a Fiamma/Omnistor wind out awning & comes with the right size Kador strip so no fussy adapter needed.

It's back in its bag now & the motorhome is back under its cover :( If you have any questions about the awning then feel free to ask :)
