Hello All from Chesterfield (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone

Just though I would drop in and introduce myself - we picked up our first motorhome at the weekend (2007 Swift Kontiki 645) and we are just currently trying to get our heads around the operation of it all before our first trip!!

I will post my questions in the relevant forums but would welcome as much help as possible for complete newbies!!!

I guess one of the first questions is what is the best alarm and who can install in the Chesterfield area??

Hi Mike, exciting times

IMO the best alarm you can install is found a lot further South than you at VanBitz in Taunton. Though they have a campsite so you can turn the trip into a nice short break. The Alarm is the best that money can buy and really is worth the trip down

Thank for the advice, I actually saw Vanbitz Strikeback at The Peterborough show at the weekend - looks very impressive but it is a long way to travel!!! This may be the answer though - just wanted one before we venture to France during Spring Bank week!!

Hello Mike, welcome, we are just down / up the road, it does seem like a steep learning curve, but really is not too bad, but well worth it

I am going down alarm options myself mainly for insurance compliance, rather than I feel I need one, done France quite a lot over the years tugging now MHing, no problems at all, a lot of scare stories, just be careful where you park and what you leave on view, it is not rocket science
