Hi last week one of the shop computors started acting up :Sad: swopped it for the spare and took it home, ran a test on it and got told H/D is U/S, so of to PC world and get a new H/D, try to install XP on it and it crashes so not the H/D :cry:

Have a google and it seems an ACPI fault is likely the mobo, Its a 3 year old Compaq so not much chance of any new spares, but I got a s/h one of Ebay for £40, fitted it in last night and all appears to be ok. ::bigsmile:

Actually I do know.. :Sad:

I tried replacing the CD drive an old 10" iBook.. absolute nightmare :Eeek:

There are some sites giving step by step instructions for dismantling.. but if you thought a dongle was hard.. !!

and have you ever tried replacing a battery in an iPod ..?? :whatthe:
