We need to MOT (and service) our new to us 2007 Motorhome.

Since she is 5.5ton and 3.3 m high our local garage is unable to MOT her.

Do I need a "special" MOT for a vehicle this size?

Does anyone have any recommendations in the Cardiff area? (Or any recommendations for an Iveco Daily service?)

Very tempted to call into Motorhome medics (Chelenham) either on the way to or from a trip as they were brilliant looking after our old RV.

If the logbook (v5) says Motorcaravan then its class 4 same as car..
BUT you need a garage big enough to take it..
Sure someone local to you will be along soon.

You could take it to VOSA in Llantrisant - they will do the test, but not the service.
Cardiff truck and bus may do though.

You could go to the Bus depot in Newport, they do MOT's and there're not after work.

I'd forgotten about VOSA in Llantrisant - I took my HGV test there. Thx
Haven't heard of Cardiff Truck and bus - I'll google it now.

Thanks Manic for the Newport Bus Depot which might work if it's not too far off the M4.

Sorry Jim - thought I'd clicked the "like" button . Always appreciate your advice which I've found very sound over the years.
