just to clarify disneyland paris did reply quickly to my email regarding staying at the resort car park as follows

Thank you for your enquiry of 1 March 2009 . I am pleased to confirm that it is still possible to park your motorhome or camping car to the main parking of Disneyland Resort Paris at the price of 13 euros per 24 hours.

so all is good and trip planned

aaahhh makes more sense to me now. we have just been away skiing in italy and took a detour on the way home to disneyland. got to the gates and got charged £13 euros. we asked about staying overnight and she said we pay when we get to the park. she gave us a leaflet to put in the window. as it was lunchtime when we arrived we decided not to go in and took a trip into paris on the train. this was an experience in itself as on the way home we had a train jumper! not nice at all and really upset our 11 year old. after being stranded between paris and disneyland for an hour and a half the emergency services had done there job and the trains were up and running again. back to the camper for the evening. we got up early and went into eurodisney at 9.30. there were a few big queues already, in hindsight we should have bought our tickets the day before so we could have just walked through. the day was fab although there was some queueing to be done, however it was the european half term. the queues were constantly moving though so it didn't seem too bad. we had decided we were going to eat in the camper at lunch to save money but as the time was flying we had a change of heart and didnt want an hour taken out of our day. food was not cheap but still not as excessive as i would have expected and had the exchange rate have been better it wouldn't have been bad at all.
when we bought the tickets we asked about camping and she said you pay at the main gate, which we had when we came in. the facilities are ok, toilets fine but showers have no shower heads so just a jet of water and were not very warm. we were told that these facilities were for the bus/coach drivers however everyone was using them. we didn't find any toilet emptying facilities but did see one or two europeans taking theirs into the building and emptying in the toilet!!! one dutch guy had actually run 4 extension cables from his van to inside the building and got a hook up!!!!!
anyway we stayed 2 nights and only paid for one. i think we should have gone back up to the main gate and paid:Eeek:
if you can find any money off vouchers for anything to do with disneyland take them and use them, also they do a thing called fastpass which we learnt about too late. basically you put your entrance card into a machine near the ride you want(usually the bigger ones) and it prints you a receipt with a time on. you then go back to the ride between the times it has given and lets you jump the queue nearer to the front. its well worth it.
we will be heading back as there is so much we didnt do but will do our homework a bit better and not do it on a whim like this time!!!
have fun

This is exactly the kind of abuse that means they will put a stop to overnight parking at Disney. Grrrrrrrr :Angry::Angry::Angry::Angry::Angry:
We are regular visitors to Disney and speak with many people staying in motorhomes when we walk through the car park. They used to allow caravans in as well, but banned these due to abuse and problems...mainly from a certain type of person from the travelling fraternity!!!
It is a great place to stay for Disney, right on the doorstep and the cost of a generator or some extra batteries and invertors will be recouped within a few days going on the prices for disney hotels! :thumb:

Anyway, yes Disney is great, and the fastpass is a very good idea for the busier rides, but you need to get it early in the day, as they can run out quickly, and often by lunchtime your fastpass time is some hours away. You can only hold a fastpass for one ride at a time, and cannot get a new one for another ride until the start of your fastpass time slot. For example, your time slot is 1700 - 1730. You cannot get another fastpass until 1700.

Best times for rides can be when the parade is on, or at the end of the day after fireworks and/or final parade. This is the worst time for shopping as everyone does it at the end of the day, (hence why rides are quietest). Shopping (if you like the disney merchandse) is during the day, early morning or lunchtime.

There is a picnic area also, which is located at the end of the travellator (moving floor) as you go from car park towards disney. This is only open during the busier, warmer periods though.

Enjoy ::bigsmile:::bigsmile::roflmto::roflmto:

Can you arrive at the carpark the day before you are planning to go in?

So for example arrive on the Wednesday evening to go into the park on the Thursday and Friday, leaving the Friday evening.

If so, what is the latest time you can realistically arrive at Euro Disney?

From our experience you can stay in the car park as long as you like providing you pay the 13 euros a day to park. you don`t have to go into the park until you want to.
you can go into the disney village free the foods expensive .
There is a small supermarket on the train station for food bread milk etc it is limited but cheaper then disney shops.
I think the latest you can get in is 7.00 pm but not sure Cheers Rob W:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We are just back from Disney in Florida and it was the same there, if you buy fast pass get in the park between 9 and 9.30 or if you are in after 10am be prepared to come back to the ride of your choice between 6pm and 9pm :(

We've been doing this for a couple of years and have now got annual passes to come and go as we please. The parking (overnighting) is then free too plus you get money off everything from merchandise to meals in (parks and village) plus some other discounts. It makes a cheap weekend away with the kids for the cost of a ferry (cheapest was £68 return) and a couple of tankfulls of fuel to get us there and back to Oxford.

Just a few points to add;

There is a loo emptying point in the coach area beside the 'coach drivers' rest building. I think it is identified on parking pass you are given.

You can turn up the night before but you will be charged 13 euros for the parking and expected to pay again the next day.

To get the next days window pass, just go to the 'guest relations' window to the right of the main entrance and pay there. Most people dont make a special trip for this, just pay and bring it back in the evening or when you next return to the van.

There is an Aire in the Esso garage at the entrance/exit to the car park.

Is there anywhere to fill up the fresh water tank??
I believe there is a large grate to empty the grey water.

There are taps that people connect their hoses to beside the fence between the MH parking and the Coach parking.

The grate was being used by coaches for grey and black tank waste disposal. People were also using it to empty the Thetford type cartridges (it was a bit grim). I just used the Aire disposals on the way home.

Yearly passes are good value if you intend to stay 4 days or more, but be careful which ones you buy as some have restrictions on days that you can use them and the cheapest one does not include parking. The passes have to be bought inside Disney so you just buy a 1 day pass and go and purchase your annual ticket and the money you have already paid will be deducted from the cost. We have just renewed ours and got an extra 3 months free.
Hope you have a good time.

EuroDisney at Christmas?

Hi all

Has anyone "done" EuroDisney over the Christmas period?

We have stayed in the parking area before (in August) and the toilet/shower block was used when required. Presumably this might not be available say 23rd to 26th December.

Anyone any experiences?

Also heard of a Campsite "close to EuroDisney" before ... is there one, and is that an all year site (just in case Hook Up becomes necessary!! ::bigsmile:

Don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but all advice very welcome

Thanks in advance!

Referred to in an earlier post; I was very concerned about the hygiene standard of the drinking water stand pipes. I too witnessed people using the long thin grate that runs along the hedge for grey and BLACK water disposal. One guy emptied his black waste tank, filled it from the stand pipe by inserting the tap into the nozel and then proceeded to connect his water fill pipe and fill his water tank. :Eeek:
Needless to say I used an alternative after first wiping thouroughly.

Other than that it is a useful place to stop over. We never felt threatened (safety in numbers) and a visit to Paris via the train is a 5 min walk away. We purchased a day ticket giving us access to all the public transport. 13 Euros each was good value.

Please do pay the daily parking fee it would be a shame to lose the facility for other MH's.

Eurodisney at Christmas

We spent last Christmas ay Disney and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite the freezing temperatures. We were surprised at how many other stupid fools there were staying!!
The toilet block & showers were open, regarding fresh water we used the tap just outside the toilet block. I'm not sure if the coach park drive over drain flush was working but it was being used.
We would certainly go again as It was very magical even with the fake snow, we quite expected to see the real thing.
