considering getting 3 x 100w panels but which is better wiring in series or wiring in parallel ?

I would say serial as you then need less meaty cables, voltage higher current lower.

With three in series the voltage will be too high. What regulator are you going to use?

Don't forget in series you could get shading issues! In parallel it two panels are in sun and one in shade you'll still charge at the stated rate of the two panels.

I recently watched a Utoob review of that type of regulator and it wasn't very impressive.

it may be better to check with your MPPT supplier. Mine indicated in series for 2 panels ( 2 x 100w) but parallel for 3 x 100 w panels .

If I do go for parallel how meaty would the cables need to be if using mc4 connectors
