Nice hobby,

Looks like a Mamod, I had one like that as a kid.. it had a long handle on the front roller to steer it as you walked along with it .. you can see where it should attach .. :thumb:

Who remembers Gamages in London? they used to sell all this type of stuff mail order and from their shop.

Bought a Stuart Turner double 10 upright steam engine un-machined kit from them in about 1964, and built it at school in metalwork lessons, broke a leg off while machining it :cry: but managed to braze it back together. ::bigsmile:

Can you still get these?They used to have meths burners but I seem to remember they went over to solid fuel in the interests of safety.?

Has a few as a kid....Wish I'd kept them all.

That methylated spirits was a bit dodgy though.....:ROFLMAO:
