Hi all, allow me to introduce myself - I'm Scott and my wife is Leanne.

Bear with me a month and I'll explain my need for a motorhome!

My niece is 25 and last year left her job to travel Europe in a caravan. I do not like caravans but have definitely got the travel bug.

My boss used to own a hymer so of course, we do a lot of t'interweb searching.

So that's us completely hooked but alas, money is an issue so it may be some years before we get a motorhome but that just means I get to learn more!

Hi and welcome..

why not buy a cheap caravan while you save for a motorhome.. you can go almost anywhere a motorhome can.. and just as much fun..

we all had to start somewhere... many like us with with just a tent, we saved for a caravan and eventually a motorhome..

Some folk on here have bought their MH on quite a small budget. Go to dealers and the prices are like telephone numbers but cheaper deals sometimes available privately and especially from places like Germany. Or buy a van and convert it yourself.
But welcome!

Hello and welcome, you don't have to start with a Hymer, lots of very reasonable vans out there that you can have a lot of fun with while your young, keep a eye out it's amazing what is out there. :welc:

Welcome. Relax and take your time learning all there is to know .. but until you are behind that wheel you can't learn it all.

Like others have said, you do not need to start with a Gin Palace. We started with a £500 airforce ambulance from an auction, kitted it out and toured all of Europe before buying an LT VW ex Carpet sales van and kitted it out before buying a 1984 'proper' motorhome, the first of many. If truth were known, we had as much fun with our first vans as we do now.
Welcome to the world of freedom and independence, which is what a motorhome can give you.
