On and off since 1983
Well I've read right through it and can't see any downside.

I am inherently a non believer in any form of credit, I use all my credit cards as debit cards and I'm most banks worst customer, I am also one who follows rather than leads so if trusted sources told me this is the way to go I would get one.

Having said that I have now pre-ordered one.

Thanks for the BUMP.........Griff

Looks good for those who have no other form of foreign currency means. I use the Clarity Card abroad and like Popeye pay everything off each month. Can't see where they actually make any money on it apart from charges in the UK.

Since 2007. But no more.
Looks reasonable but the visa rate is usually a few points below the interbank rate. I guess they have to make their money somewhere!
No such thing as a free lunch, though some cards that use the interbank rate are free!
If you plan to draw cash always have it taken from your UK account in Euros.

Just noticed it's for anywhere in the world that accepts visa.
I might just get one!

It says in one of the Q&A that the Visa exchange rate is used.
So just about or below Ukash rate so I don't know how that compares with tesco credit card
Visa =
1 BRITISH POUND = 1.3972400001 EURO

Not really much different to a Caxton card other than you link a card to it instead of preloading. I'm not too sure how comfortable I am about giving them unrestricted access to my credit or debit cards. Also as has been mentioned the exchange rate isn't likely to be great. I think I'll be sticking with my Caxton/Clarity combination.

you have already done that with caxton, they have access to your account in the same way

No they don't. You need to enter your cvv code when loading your card. It isn't automated.

So apart from the exchange rate there appears to be no issues? I think I'll go for it as it seems the easiest and cheapest way to get money abroad!

when I load via text message or load via the app i don't send the cvv code and it tops up.

Ah. I don't use the app, I've always done it via the website.
