Glad she is okay. Hope she gets behind the wheel again soon, before she loses her nerve.

Hope the insurance company do their job.

The cab looks pretty much structurally intact - another reminder to make sure all loose stuff is put away / strapped down before moving off :)

I'm glad there were no serious injuries but it shows how badly some MHs (most?) behave in a crash in the sense of bits inside coming loose. The industry is becoming aware of this slowly but in an older vehicle you have every chance of being hit in the back of the head by a 'fridge or sink unit in the event of a head-on impact.

I doubt whether most recent motorhomes would fare much better.

I agree, but they should, although crash testing would be prohibitively expensive and the wattle and daub construction of some vehicles suggests they might never comply with any sort of standard which could be introduced.

Just drive carefully!

Gosh. I hope there weren't any passengers in the back. It just shows how flimsy motorhomes are.
There but for.............
The report only mentioned the driver so, presumably, nobody else in the back.

Worth mentioning this to the Klingons at Calais and other ports that side of our Channel. Don't hitch a lift on a MH.
Won't work, but needs must, try anything.

Looks like a bit of damp behind the toilet to me......
I've found at my age it is best to sit down at night when you need a pee. Bit more difficult to miss. Reduces dampness in unwanted places.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
I suppose this total matchbox collapsing effect , wouldn't happen In a panel van . With it being an all metal box. The whole thing looks a bit rusty if you look at the rear end. It could have been the damp and rusty fixings that made it collapse like it did ?

Just keep that picture in your mind next time your doing 70mph down the motorway.
With your kids/ grandkids in the back. :Eeek:
Then some ask about fitting lap strap to rear lounged motorhomes??? Yet looking at the way this separated even if the rear passenger seats were in the usual places on a newer vehicle .............

We all know what Graham means but I have to laugh, well maybe not laugh, when a headline like this comes up. It's ok as long as it's not a funster?

One has to wonder what made it overturn in the first place but it is good to hear the driver wasn't injured.

D.
That stretch of road is straight, with good visibility and an incline but not a severe one so it's strange that any vehicle should have problems.
