They are a waste of time you want the one that you press to release it on the inside of the door

I know BUt just cant be bothered to change to another type and this will just screw in place of the original. So for £3.40 it will do if it lasts a couple of years.... :)

Hi Tonka - Have you fitted it yet and does it fit EXACTLY into the previous screw holes? If so I will order one as ours doesn't hold securely anymore (Autotrail Savannah). Thanks.

Brownhills are on ebay doing same thing for nearly £10..

Its usually the male bit that wear out first so may only need to change that part.

@The Dude
Catch arrived, just in time before we left for a rally last weekend..
Size all the same.. On the van body it was just to screws to change.
BUT Door part, problem.. The original one is rivited on... Didnt want to mess about with that so although worn I have left in place and it's catching a lot stronger.. :) So I am happy enough with it..

Thanks for the update Tonka. We're going to see a new (to us) van on Monday (Pilote G742 LCE) so if we go ahead with this I won't bother with a new catch.

That WILL cost a lot more.. ;)
Good luck, hope it's what you want and the right deal..

I'm a newbie
Can anyone point me to information regarding the drilling into and screwing into the exterior of the door of the siding of the MoHo? what are you drilling into and how rigid is it? I imagine its just a skin of aluminium over a foam insulation core so not a lot there for a screw to grip to?? or are there structural beams or members that should be used? where are they?
