iPhone app for recording trips (1 Viewer)

Does anyone use an app to keep records of their trips. i.e. mileage, places, fuel fill ups etc?

I have been looking for one but alas totally failed so thought I would ask the experts.

You could set up a spreadsheet using Numbers. That would pretty much amount to the same thing.

Or buy a copy of Jim's Destinations book

The spreadsheet is to be my fall back option if no app exists.

We use the destinations book, better than any app.

We have an app that could be used for that and to keep a check on other expenditure, it's called "SpendingLog" I find it very useful.

I've started a few logs and blogs about trips.. but they always fall by the wayside.. electronic just doesn't do it for me..

I just make notes about places we have visited , sites, aires etc either on guide books, paper maps or road atlases .. also use Jim's Destinations book

my dad did the same, I have maps he used with his notes dating back to the 1950s when we went camping to Wales and Cornwall on a Norton motor cycle with sidecar. ..

finances on holidays I don't worry about..
I lift cash and spend it.. when it's gone.. it's gone

just had a thought.. if dad had recorded his trips electronically would they be able to be read today ?
would the have survived 60 years, and if so, would I have the equipment to 'read' them.. very doubtful..

paper lasts centuries.. even millennia if stored correctly.. electronic.. here today.. gone tomorrow !

I tried the android app "rv log"...
Wasn't quite what I was looking for but might be worth a look...

iPhone is my preferred but do have a droid as well. Just tried searching for it but can't find it alas. Thanks anyway.

Great... It's a bit clunky, but haven't found anything better as yet...

There is an iPhone app called "day one" you can record text of whatever you like and also photographs.

It's very good for recording you memories
