I've been looking through the numerous threads on tolls but can't see an answer to this one;

I'm under 3.5 ton, so believe that's class II. Using the Michelin app I can calculate costs for a car but how can you calculate for a larger vehicle?

Our van is 4250kg and 3.24 metres including a 40cm sat dome.
We have so far never been charged for being over 3500kg because they don't know nor have we been picked up as over 3 metres.

Be careful were 4.5 tons or there a outs and 8.5m x 3.2 and get charged as HGV at group 4. No avoid the hassle avoiding toll roads, as a result have seen some exeptional scenery.

Should have added were a tag axle as well

If you are below 3m you should be fine. We are sadly over and even when we have a lovely conversation at the toll through the intercom haven't been lucky once :( We tend to drive on the A roads a lot more, they are of often very quiet and easy to drive on. Just have watch the speed limit changes...they can creep up on you more quickly than you expect.

Hi,

When I use the ViaMichelin site, ticking the box for 'Caravan' gives the price for Class 2. on the tolls.
I remember doing this as a test specifically because we were tuggers at the time and I wanted to know the Class 2 price.

We´ve just travelled from Carcassonne to Cahors and decided to use the toll road for a change. Cost a total of €25 and saved 3.5 hours. We were charged at Class 3 once and class 2 twice. No idea how that worked because we are over 3 metres.
