Mine says Kechcheng KC-318 bought after ebay link on here. Seems to work OK though you can never be totally certain with one of these.

I have one as well. I think it was Tonka recommended them first. Like Broken Link Removed (same trader). As Brian says, seems to work OK. I bought mine to keep an eye on things during the year. Its indication that all was well was backed up by the habitation service results.

I've got a pin type one that I used once when house hunting.
Have no further use for it if anyone wants to buy it.

I bought one with sharp pins for my last van, and after noticing the pin pricks in the ceiling I ground the sharp points off, and filled the pin holes with copydex , had no problems when I part exchanged the van last year.

John.

exactly the problem I want to avoid.. and as I mentioned , dealers or private sellers wouldn't take kindle to it..
however, there are places where you do need the pin type.. eg. in corners where there is metal hidden in the corner. .. under the edges of window rubbers etc

so ideally you need both types.

but grinding off the pins ? .. They won't be able to penetrate the plastic coating if blunt.. so can only measure surface moisture.. which may just be condensation.

What a brilliant idea. I'll keep mine as woodburner being fitted I a couple of weeks---yipeeeeee.

since we had Morso fitted over 3 years ago only had to turn away one load of so called seasoned wood...the guy was not best pleased when I pulled it out ...serves him right :)

Jim if the one mentioned above for £50 good your not going to better that...pro ones cost in the hundreds. bring a ladder and some thing to lie on when you dig about underneath:cautious:
