Since 2008 & many years tugging
I assume it's an X250, 5 years or 60k not sure of the exact mileage but 5 years is correct, Nick over on O&A (euroserv) runs a large fleet of contact hire vehicles recons to change them at 175k but his vans do high mileage.
At coming up for eight years old I would change it for piece of mind if there is no record of it being done.

Every 5 years and as above if no record of it being done , do so asap. Not sure if water pump is run off this belt but if it is and its low mileage would not have it done on this belt change , just have the belt . Reason it is 5 years is due to the material belt made of deteriorates

I have mine swapped every 50k and each time I look at the old one. They always look like new but I still get the job done. My guy charges me £250 for the same fiat 2.3 engine.

A long time
Ours has only done 7000 miles and it is a 2011 registered model, the problem that i have is you have no idea when the engine was built let alone when the vehicle came off the production line!
Often the base chassis is stored for long periods of time before 1st registration thtrefore you do not know howlong the belt has been let alone when the belt was made so if your van is 2007 then the belt could possibly be 10 years old.
Booking my Autotrail in for cam belt + tensioner etc today.
will have it done just for peace of mind and especially as we are going abroad next year, don't want any problems travelling down to Portugal.

Another problem is the long periods of time that motor homes stand idle, the belts can form to the shape they are standing in, and the bearings in the tensioners, water pumps deteriorate if left in the same place for long periods, I've seen it happen, many times.

Did my cambelt on previous MH in 2014, it was Fiat 2.8JTD. Done 18K but was 2005
So belt was 9 years old based on reg but assuming built 1 year before reg, belt was 10 years old, but so was grease and plastic in bearings. Here is a picture of the tensioner bearings that I removed, base your decision on this?

I'm a newbe
Further to stated by Broken Link Removed, our M/H was registered 2008 and purchased second hand in 2011 with 2150 miles on the clock, having checked the VIN it's a 2005 built base vehicle. having driven it home and a weekend away noticed the engine was making a strange noise (I don't do diesels so was not sure) took it back to the dealer who looked at it then sent it to a garage. This resulted in the cam belt being replaced with 2340 miles on the clock.
I think the tensioner bearing was rusty ?

My suggestion is in line with the others above, change the belt asap, find a good garage.
