Glow plug (1 Viewer)

I have a 2008 Fiat Ducato and when I switch the ignition on the glow plug light flashes. Once the engine fires up the light goes out. Should this light flash when I turn on the ignition.

Any suggestions welcome.

No it should go out after a few seconds, You may have a fault with the system. Does it go out as soon as the engine is started or about 30 seconds later.

Slightly confused
How does it go out when started if it only flashes when you switch it on.?.... Does it come on on crank ?.

What concerns me is that the glow plug flashes on and off rather than just coming on for a short time. It goes off on crank.

Indicates glow plug fault/failure. Consult dealer.
