Hi

We are off to Spain March 11 2009.

Will travel down through Spain taking our time and starting to put a few plans in place. Seemed like a good idea to start this on new years eve, with a few glasses to see in the new year.
Looking for ideas for stops on the way down, think we,ll probably take a few weeks at the Mar Menor region, think it's Murcia. Return via France to pick up the ferry at Calais.
Know aires are few and far between if you can find them , so we have ordered the campingcard subscription from Vicarious books.
We have Gaslow refillable LPG , is it readily available in Spain? Also do we need a Spanish adapter, we have one for France.

So any advice welcomed re sites, LPG, roads , point of interest for TomTom satnav etc

Best Regards for 2009

Hi We are off to Spain March 11 2009.

There are at least 4 in here will be following and carrying on to Morocco.

Worth a look: Toledo and Aranjuez. On the south coast Nerja is a delightful place to sit on a pavement cafe watching the people walk along the Balcon de Europa.

LPG limited in Spain - there are some guides which someone will post soon enough.

Brian.

thanks to all

Brian, Old-Mo, Scotjimland

many thanks for the information. We are collating as much information as possible and are now have the rough framework in place for the trip.

Ferry booked for Bilbao , P&O. Actually got a better price by phoning P&O direct, cheaper than they were quoting on the net.

Ferry booked for return from Calais with P&O, booked through caravan club.

Ordered a book of Spanish Aires and LPG locations from Vicariuos books.

Looks like we'll take a few days at Nerja, thanks Brian.

Ordered Camping cheques . Found this to be the cheapest way to pay for Spanish camp sites. La Manga Mar Menor 2 weeks for £130. using the camping cheques.

Brought motorhome out of storage to check batteries today -2 deg and snowing.

Great site ScotJimland,

Old-Mo

kind regards
